A Message from Eric D. Echols, CFI.

TFP Company, LLC. was was formed September 2003 for the purpose of providing a true loss prevention, private investigations, and security service. Our company is results-oriented, with a commitment not only to client satisfaction, but also to raising standards within the security industry as a whole.

I have 25 years of service ranging from the United States Marine Corps to Security and Corporate Loss Prevention Management. The one common factor that always contributed to my growth, professional standards, and proficiency in this industry was training.

As a professional in the security industry or someone that wants to become a professional in this field, you must always strive to be the best security officer that represents the industry, the security company, and most importantly yourself. The image you portray as a security officer will be judged based on how you wear your uniform, how you execute your post orders, and how you demonstrate your training.

The Online Security Officer Basic Training will give you the minimum standards adopted by the Georgia Board of Private Detectives and Security Agencies. This training is a versatile approach designed to let you

  • work at your own pace.
  • meet the State of Georgia requirements for 24 hours of training.
  • train without taking time off.
  • walk into a new hire interview with a training certificate (or provide a copy for your current employer), indicating that you have successfully completed the State-required training.

Security companies will benefit by

  • ensuring that all of your security officers are trained in the event of an inspection by the GA Board of Private Detectives and Security Agencies.
  • getting your security officers trained while still maintaining billable hours.
  • avoiding training costs that cannot be billed to the client.
  • getting reimbursed by payroll deduction for training because the security officer will maintain the training certificate that can be used at other companies.

It has always been paramount to maintain and protect the professional image of the security officer. This online training is a step in that direction. Thank you, and remember: "Security is not just a job—it’s a career."

Good luck on taking this one-of-a-kind, forward-thinking training program.
